What’s the Big Idea?

What’s the Big Idea? began in 2015 as an opportunity to encourage entrepreneurship and the creation of new businesses in our small town storefronts. The Big Idea event includes speakers, science fair-style displays of the entrepreneurial ideas, and a Pitching Parlour for cash and prizes. The event is generously supported by local municipalities, organizations and businesses who believe in the value of nurturing entrepreneurship.

Since 2015, $78,750 has been awarded to support the launch and expansion of 50 businesses throughout Westman. These businesses are populating our Main Streets and bringing their products and services to market locally, provincially, and nationally.
