Welcome to the “Land of Plenty”
Located at the intersection of Highways 5 and 16 (Yellowhead Route), Neepawa is the third-fastest growing community in Manitoba. Serving a trading area of over 15,000, the town is located in the vast agricultural region of southwestern Manitoba only 175 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Winnipeg. The community’s 5,686 residents support a thriving local economy based in agriculture, manufacturing, health care, professional services, and transportation services, and they enjoy a quality of life that is second to none; in fact, the name “Neepawa” is derived from the Cree word for “Land of Plenty” — a phrase that accurately describes the bounty of agricultural resources in the area.
